SAN FRANCISCO, CA April 2, 2007 - Today EAS announced its sponsorship of The Relay on May
5-6, 2007 as part of the EAS Endurance Tour. During
The EAS Relay, 12-member teams run 199-miles from Calistoga in the Napa Valley wine country to the beach in Santa
Cruz. As the largest event in the world promoting organ donation, The EAS Relay supports 95,000 Americans waiting
for organ donors.

Shapiro, Race Director of The Relay. "Energy, Athletics and Strength are key elements for success in a long
distance race."
During The EAS Relay, known as California's Longest Party,
runners travel 36 legs (three legs per runner, 3-8.9 miles each) through 36 cities from the Napa Valley Wine
Country to Sonoma and Marin, across the Golden Gate Bridge under a full moon, through San Francisco, San Mateo,
and Silicon Valley to Santa Cruz. 2007 participating teams include 911 - We Run Code 3 (Marin/Sonoma Law Enforcement),
EPA Gang Green (EPA), Lifesavers (US Coast Guard), Remote Controlled (US Air Force), Run Deloitte Run (Deloitte &
Touche), Seagate Xtreme Drives (Seagate Technology), Shell Team Outta Gas (Shell Oil Products US) and Yaks (Applied
Biosystems). Instead of going head to head in the market place, 2 Google teams and 2 Yahoo! teams will go toe to toe
on the pavement to save lives.
Organs 'R' Us was founded in San Francisco in 1996 and supports
transplant recipients, candidates, family members and donor families by promoting organ donation through athletics.
During the run, the transfer of baton from runner to runner symbolizes the transfer of an organ from donor to
