Since start time issues are time intensive, there is a $100 fee to request a start time
change. Please send a check for $100 payable to The Relay with your request
before April 10. Adjusted start times will be posted April 13.

The team entry fee for checks postmarked after March 1 is $1080 (with $10/runner late fee).

MARCH DATES TO REMEMBER
By March 1, enter team online (requires team name and
Captain's minute/mile pace).
By March 1, mail one nonrefundable $960/team ($80/runner) check payable to The
Relay.
By March 8, check Registered Teams for team name indicating entry fee has
been processed.
By March 8, up to 11 runners must enter online (runner minute/mile paces needed to calculate start times)
to avoid late fees.
APRIL DATES TO REMEMBER
By April 10, two volunteers must register online to
avoid penalty.
By April 10, raise mandatory $600/team ($50/runner) donation payable to ORU.
By April 15, Online donations
(build a webpage for your team) will be added to team totals at Registered Teams.
By April 15, ORU donations must be received so team is credited prior to the Start. After April 15, bring
donations to the Start. After teams meet the $600 minimum, additional donations may be mailed (even after April 15)
or turned in at the Start.
By April 15, corporate matching fund requests must be received so team is credited prior to Start. Bring to
Start after April 15.

CAPTAINS TIPS

COURSE UPDATE
There are no changes to the course traveled by runners.
FINAL INSTRUCTIONS - Follow the
Rules to avoid disqualification.
1. Arrive at the Start one hour before assigned start time
prepared to turn in Roster/Waiver, ORU donations and show "Caution-Runner on Road" signs, reflective
vests and flashlights.
2. Runners and drivers must follow the California Vehicle Code including parking off the road.
3. Only Active Vans may park in Exchanges except at Van Exchanges (6, 12, 18, 24, 30). Resting Vans
may not park in Exchanges and must follow Resting Van Routes.
3. Runners must run on the right (with traffic) except the first 2.2 miles of Leg 1, Leg 18 and 0.1 miles of
Leg 26. If you run on the left, you will miss turns marked with signs on the right.
4. Be quiet at night (no honking). From sunset to sunrise and on Leg 8 (Highway 12/121), runners must wear a
reflective vest and carry a lighted flashlight. Sergeant Skip Richardson of the Marin Sheriff's office will
stop runners without flashlights and vests.
5. Do NOT stop along Highway 12/121 (Leg 8) and do NOT drive up Grove St. (Leg 10).
6. Teams that finish more than two hours ahead of their estimated finish time
(calculated from runner paces) will be penalized or disqualified.
7. Respect properties and express thanks to law enforcement, property owners and volunteers.
8. Be safe and have fun.
