MARCH DATES TO REMEMBER (to avoid late fees).
By March 1, enter team online (requires team name and
Captain's minute/mile pace).
By March 1, mail one nonrefundable $720/team ($60/walker) check payable to The
Relay.
By March 8, check Registered Teams for team name indicating entry fee has
been processed.
By March 8, up to 11 walkers must enter online by selecting team name from drop down list. Each walker
must enter his/her minute/mile pace to allow start time calculation.
APRIL DATES TO REMEMBER (to avoid late fees).
By April 10, two volunteers must register online.
By April 10, raise mandatory $600/team ($50/walker) donation payable to ORU.
By April 15, ORU donations must be received so team is credited prior to the Start. After April 15, bring
donations to the Start. After teams meet the $600 minimum, additional donations may be mailed (even after April 15)
or turned in at the Start.
By April 15, corporate matching fund requests must be received so team is credited prior to Start. Bring to
Start after April 15.

CAPTAINS TIPS
Captains looking for walkers may visit the Matching Message Board.
Due to the online waiver, captains assume personal liability if they register walkers or volunteers.
Volunteers may register or change a shift (based on availability) using the online
entry.
Volunteers may view volunteer assignments.

FINAL INSTRUCTIONS - Follow the
Rules to avoid disqualification and/or loss of permits.
1. Arrive at the Start one hour before assigned start time prepared to turn in
Roster/Waiver, ORU donations and show "Caution-Walker on Road" signs, reflective vests and flashlights.
2. Walkers and drivers must follow the California Vehicle Code including parking off
the road.
3. Only Active Vans may park in Exchanges except at Van Exchanges (18, 24, 30). Resting Vans
may not park in Exchanges and must follow Resting Van Routes.
4. Walkers must walk on the right (with traffic) except Leg 18 and 0.1 miles of Leg 26. If you walk on the left,
you will miss turns marked with signs on the right.
5. Be quiet at night (no honking). From sunset to sunrise, walkers must wear a reflective vest and carry a
lighted flashlight.
6. Teams that finish more than two hours ahead of their estimated finish time
(calculated from walker paces) will be penalized or disqualified.
7. Respect properties and express thanks to law enforcement, property owners and volunteers.
8. Have fun.
