8 AM START AT THE MARIN FRENCH CHEESE COMPANY. Arrive at 7 am for check-in.
Enjoy breakfast and scenic grounds of the oldest cheese factory in the US including picnic tables by the lake.
Meet walkers from other teams and begin your adventure with a team photo.
CHECK-IN
Baton, bibs, shirts and van numbers will be distributed after satisfying check-in requirements:
Walkers: must be listed in order on the Roster/Waiver and submitted with signatures.
Donation to Organs 'R' Us: Teams that failed to mail the $600/team (minimum) donation
to ORU by April 10 may bring donations to the start. (Mailing donations prior to
April 10 expedites check-in.) After teams meet the $600 minimum, additional donations may be mailed (after
April 10) or turned in at the Start.
Safety: Teams must show 2 flashlights, 2 reflective vests and 2 vehicle "CAUTION-
WALKER ON ROAD" signs, minimum 17 x 22 inches. Bring or purchase signs at the Start for $5 each. Write
medical history and team phone number on backs of bibs. Walk Legs are numbered 13-36 (and not 1-24 to avoid issues
with emergency responders).
Vehicles: 2 vehicles per team are required, maximum 6.5 x 19 feet. No buses, extra vehicles,
limousines or motor homes. Vehicles must display team number (provided) on front and rear windows and a rear
sign, "CAUTION-WALKER ON ROAD."
Volunteers: If any walker lives within 50 miles of the course, 2 volunteers, age 16 or older,
must register online by April 10. On a first come basis, volunteers may choose a shift of 4-5 hours along the course.
Teams with every walker living more than 50 miles from the course are exempt from the volunteer requirement.
