VOLUNTEER ENTRY INFO. FOR CALIFORNIA'S LONGEST PARTY

THANKS FOR VOLUNTEERING (even at 2 am, OUCH!)
While registering using the Online Entry, choose your hours and location (Start, 1-35, Finish) from the drop down list. Since, assignments are made as volunteers register, shifts disappears from the list when filled. Failure to sign in and fulfill a shift will result in disqualification of the volunteer's affiliated team.

Exchanges are properties where one walker passes the baton to the next walker. Exchange addresses are available on maps. Although walkers travel Legs 13-36, walk volunteers may choose assignments at Exchanges 1-36. Use the table below as a guide to determine where and when to volunteer. For example, there are no shifts on Saturday in Santa Cruz County because walkers are in Marin, San Francisco and San Mateo Counties on Saturday.

Start, Calistoga (Exchange S)   Saturday 5:30 AM to 6:30 PM
Napa (Exchanges 1 - 7)   Saturday AM & PM
Sonoma (Exchanges 8 - 11)   Saturday PM
Marin (Exchanges 12 - 17)   Saturday late PM & Sunday early AM
San Francisco (Exchanges 18 - 19)   Midnight & Sunday early AM
San Mateo (Exchanges 20 - 25)   Sunday early AM
Santa Clara (Exchanges 26 - 30)   Sunday AM & early PM
Santa Cruz (Exchanges 31 - 35)   Sunday AM & PM
Finish, Santa Cruz (Exchange F)   Sunday 7 AM to 9:30 PM

At Canada College (Exchange 24 - open during the night for breakfast, showers and sleeping), two volunteer locations. Shift A, B and C volunteers report to the Canada College cafeteria to help with food preparation. Shift D and E volunteers report to Canada Rd. to manage runners during the baton exchange.
